Course Description:
Studio in Media Arts will build upon the techniques, applications, theory and principles of art and design taught in Studio Art I. This survey course will meet the learning styles of all students by allowing for both traditional and non-traditional modes of learning through a deeper exploration of the Elements of Art and Principles of Design. Students will explore a variety of artists, art processes and materials such as drawing, painting, printmaking, and digital art. Students will make connections to other disciplines and current events, while gaining experience with visual problem solving and project-based inquiry. Students will be engaged in a broad exploration of personal ideas and imagery created within the spectrum of the visual and media arts disciplines. Classes may be taught in art studio classrooms and computer labs where they will create projects with a mix of hands-on and digital tools.

Projects& Participation:
- Projects and Participation are included in the same rubrics and are counted together in one grade for each project. You need to demonstrate a balance of craft and understanding of the materials along with focus, perseverance, and effort.
